Full Disclosure

Every Ingredient. On the Record.

The fragrance industry is legally allowed to hide its formula behind one word. We think that's exactly backwards — so here is what goes into Obsidian Sky, and what never will.

What's Inside

Denatured alcohol (plant-derived)The carrier. Evaporates in seconds, leaving only the scent on skin.
Fragrance compound — fully phthalate-freeA 20%+ concentration blend of bergamot, saffron, jasmine, smoked oud, amberwood, fir resin, amber, musk, and white cedar accords.
AquaPurified water. Nothing more.

What's Banned — Permanently

Phthalates (DEP, DBP, DEHP)Plasticizers used to extend scent life. Linked to hormone disruption. The reason this brand exists.
ParabensPreservatives that can mimic estrogen. Never used, in any concentration.
Synthetic dyesThe liquid's color comes from its ingredients, not lab pigment.
BHT / BHASynthetic antioxidant preservatives with contested safety profiles. Excluded on principle.
Animal-derived ingredients or testingVegan formula. Cruelty-free process. No exceptions, no "final formulation only" loopholes.
Why we say "linked to," not "causes" We cite peer-reviewed associations — like lower testosterone levels linked to phthalate exposure — without overstating them. We're a fragrance house, not a medical authority. We'd rather under-claim and over-deliver.
