Full Disclosure
Every Ingredient. On the Record.
The fragrance industry is legally allowed to hide its formula behind one word. We think that's exactly backwards — so here is what goes into Obsidian Sky, and what never will.
What's Inside
✓Denatured alcohol (plant-derived)The carrier. Evaporates in seconds, leaving only the scent on skin.
✓Fragrance compound — fully phthalate-freeA 20%+ concentration blend of bergamot, saffron, jasmine, smoked oud, amberwood, fir resin, amber, musk, and white cedar accords.
✓AquaPurified water. Nothing more.
What's Banned — Permanently
✕Phthalates (DEP, DBP, DEHP)Plasticizers used to extend scent life. Linked to hormone disruption. The reason this brand exists.
✕ParabensPreservatives that can mimic estrogen. Never used, in any concentration.
✕Synthetic dyesThe liquid's color comes from its ingredients, not lab pigment.
✕BHT / BHASynthetic antioxidant preservatives with contested safety profiles. Excluded on principle.
✕Animal-derived ingredients or testingVegan formula. Cruelty-free process. No exceptions, no "final formulation only" loopholes.
Why we say "linked to," not "causes"
We cite peer-reviewed associations — like lower testosterone levels linked to phthalate exposure — without overstating them. We're a fragrance house, not a medical authority. We'd rather under-claim and over-deliver.
